Do you often get nursing exam questions wrong? Especially the nursing priority questions?
Or do you get nervous when your clinical instructor asks you about prioritization in nursing?
Friend, you are NOT alone.
I felt the same way in nursing school, until an upperclassman explained to me how to answer nursing priority questions, using the ABCs, the nursing process, and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.
The ABCs stand for airway, breathing and circulation.
The nursing process includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
And Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs includes physiological needs, safety needs, love and belonging needs, self-esteem needs, and self-actualization needs.
During nursing school, you can use these 3 principles to decide what your top priorities are when answering nursing exam questions or nursing priority questions, or if you’re trying to prioritize patient care at clinical.
So in this video, I’ll walk you through how to use the ABC nursing strategy, the nursing process, and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs to answer your nursing exam questions, nursing priority questions, and to help you get better with prioritization in nursing.
